Live map, theft protection, and geofencing

How does the live map work?

The live map shows the tracker's current position based on the most recently received GPS data.

There may be minor delays depending on reception and settings.

How to use the live map:

  • Open the live map via the side menu.

  • Use the magnifying glass to search for a specific tracker.

  • Tap the device to see details.

  • Use the filter icon at the bottom right to filter the view.

  • Switch between satellite view and map view.

The live map is often used for:

  • Real-time overview

  • Theft protection

  • Logistics and planning

How do I manage notifications?

Notifications automatically provide you with information about events related to the tracker.

Standard notifications

  • Movement alarm

  • Battery level

These are usually linked to the first mobile phone that logs in.

Create a new notification:

  • Go to Menu β†’ Settings β†’ Notifications

  • Select tracker

  • Press + at the top right

  • Choose notification type

  • Choose how the notification should be sent (e.g. mobile push or email)

  • Save

What types of notes are there?

Off
Notification when the tracker is manually turned off or the battery runs out.

Battery alert
Notification when the battery level drops below 30%.

Operating time
Recurring notification after X hours of operation.

External power
Notification if external power supply is interrupted.

Offline
Notification if the device has not been contacted for over 24 hours.

Motion alert
Notification when the tracker detects movement.
Sent approximately 2 minutes after movement.

When a motion alert occurs, you can:

  • Dismiss the alert

  • Start tracking immediately

If no response is given, the device enters a tracking session and then goes into sleep or standby mode depending on settings.

How can I avoid alarms when using the equipment?

The easiest way is to temporarily disable the motion alarm.

Here's how:

  • Open the menu in the app.

  • Go to Settings β†’ Notifications.

  • Swipe right on the motion alarm to deactivate it.

πŸ”” Remember to activate the alarm again when you are done.

Important: This is only recommended if the tracker is set to β€œNever sleep”, otherwise the device may go into sleep mode.

How do I turn off the motion alarm with zones?

If the equipment is frequently used in the same place (e.g., at home or at work), you can create zones to reduce the number of alarms.

Create a zone:

  • Go to Menu β†’ Settings β†’ Zones

  • Tap + in the top right corner

  • Draw the zone on the map

    • You can search for an address in the top right corner

    • If location services are enabled, your current position will be used

  • Select the type of zone – the recommended option is "Inside"

  • Save

Link zone to notification:

  • Go to Settings β†’ Notifications

  • Select motion alarm

  • Tap Add zone

  • Select zone

πŸ’‘ Tip: If you still receive alarms, you can make the zone slightly larger. GPS may have minor deviations.

What are zones (geofencing)?

Zones are used to define geographical areas and trigger events when a tracker enters or exits the area.

Zones can be used for:

  • Entry and exit notifications

  • Work time tracking

  • Safety purposes

  • Theft protection

Examples of zones:

  • Company premises

  • Construction sites

  • Delivery areas

  • Private residence

The shape and size of the zones can be adjusted as needed.

How does a motion alarm work?

Motion alarm activates when the tracker detects movement.

  • The alarm is sent approximately 2 minutes after movement is detected.

  • You receive a notification on your mobile.

  • You can start tracking immediately.

If the alarm is not handled:

  • The device enters a 5-minute tracking session.

  • After that, it returns to sleep or standby mode depending on settings.

What happens if a tracker goes offline?

If the device is not contacted for over 24 hours, an offline notification is sent.

Possible causes include:

  • Poor reception

  • Low battery

  • The device is switched off

The tracker automatically sends a data packet at least once every 24 hours.
